Marvel Tokon teams are the five branded launch squads in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls: Fighting Avengers, Unbreakable X-Men, Amazing Guardians, Samurai Outriders, and Knights of Doom. This page covers team compositions — Point / mid / Assist jobs inside each fantasy — before you grind matchups. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam.

You always bring four fighters. Composition is not “four cool names” — it is Point starts, Assist cover, Switch partners, and one Assemble route you can hit-confirm. Marketing squads give you a ready fantasy; jobs inside the squad decide whether the bar survives.

| Slot job | What you want | Failure mode |
|---|---|---|
| Point / Lead | Neutral starts you can repeat every round | Pretty Lead who dies without spending Assists |
| Primary Assist | Call that covers a hole (projectile, lock, armor) | Assist that never comes out under pressure |
| Switch partner | Safe tag when blocked or mashed | Only tagging when already KO’d |
| Flex / mid | Extension or mix after a confirm | Fourth body with no labbed route |
Episode Mode and trailers teach Assist cues inside Fighting Avengers, Unbreakable X-Men, and the other three. Learning animations across all twenty characters at once delays pattern recognition.
Freeform rules can differ by playlist — verify in-game construction for the mode you queue. Until then, treat the five Marvel Tokon teams as training scaffolds.
PlayStation’s beginner guidance has used Wolverine’s aggressive melee with Iron Man’s ranged cover as a composition example — melee Point + projectile Assist. Steal that structure even if you stay inside one fantasy squad.
Fighting Avengers is the hero showcase squad: Cap, Iron Man, Black Panther (Shuri), and Hulk. Official copy frames it as a mix of power, tech, and speed tools — the cleanest on-ramp for new team compositions.
| Character | Role lean | Composition note |
|---|---|---|
| Point | Beginner-friendly Lead; shield fundamentals teach Assist spend | |
| Assist / flex Point | Air + projectile cover for melee Leads; classic partner for rush Points | |
| Rush Point / mid | Speed entries and multi-angle pressure once Cap feels slow | |
| Power mid / late | Rage-style power turns; spend him when you need a wall of damage |
Cap Point → Iron Man Assist → Shuri Switch partner → Hulk flex. Lab Cap calling Iron Man on a blocked string, then Switch to Shuri when Cap is stuck. Hulk comes in for damage when the shared bar still has room.
The Fighting Avengers trailer beats the “we fight together” message into the ground — Assemble moments are the fantasy payoff. Treat those cinematic Assembles as goals, not your first training drill; short Assist calls come first.
Unbreakable X-Men is Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger. Story framing has Storm rebuilding the team under Xavier’s guidance. Search demand concentrates on Magik and Danger — those get dedicated pages.
| Character | Role lean | Composition note |
|---|---|---|
| Air Point | Advanced vertical control — demote to mid until air game is stable | |
| Mix / mid | Soulsword pressure — full notes on Magik | |
| Rush Point | Official beginner-leaning claw Lead; best X-Men on-ramp | |
| Tech / Assist | Danger Room systems — full notes on Danger |
Wolverine Point → Magik mid → Danger Assist experiments → Storm later. Do not Point Storm and Danger in the same first week unless you already play air / tech fighters.
Magik and Danger are unique franchise presentations for a launch fighter. Use the deep pages after Wolverine can start rounds; the roster hub links the same cards.
Amazing Guardians packs Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker. Mobility and gadget play define the fantasy — Ms. Marvel is the beginner-leaning Lead inside the squad.
| Character | Role lean | Composition note |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile Point | Web mobility and mid-range confirms; high identity Point | |
| Stretch Point | Beginner-friendly reach mix; safest Guardians Lead | |
| Gun Assist | Dual-gun cover for melee Points; air fire support | |
| Trap / mid | SP//dr gadgets — lab setups before you Point her |
Ms. Marvel Point → Star-Lord Assist → Spider-Man Switch partner → Peni flex. Once stretch confirms are boring, swap Point to Spider-Man and keep Star-Lord as cover.
Samurai Outriders is Ghost Rider, Blade, Loki, and Deadpool — the anti-hero / trickster lane. Higher execution and resource risk than Fighting Avengers; still a valid first team if that fantasy is why you bought the game.
| Character | Role lean | Composition note |
|---|---|---|
| Resource Point | Vengeance Gauge overheat risk; lab the gauge before Pointing online | |
| Weapon Point | Muramasa rush + Heartstopper locks; clearest Outriders Lead | |
| Trick Assist | Illusions and counters — stronger as cover than as a first Point | |
| Chaotic mid | Self-risk tools; fun mid once you can afford mistakes |
Blade Point → Loki Assist → Deadpool mid → Ghost Rider once the gauge is readable. If Ghost Rider is your favorite, Point him in training only until overheat stops surprising you.
Knights of Doom is Doctor Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage — villain control and infection pressure. Doom is the readable Point; Magneto and Carnage ask for stage / status literacy.
| Character | Role lean | Composition note |
|---|---|---|
| Control Point | Magic zoning and heavy payoffs; best Knights on-ramp | |
| Stage control | Object throws + debris follow-ups — stage-aware mid | |
| Air zoning | Glider mobility, Razor Bats, Pumpkin Bombs | |
| Pressure Point | Infection chip even on block — scary once you understand the status |
Doom Point → Green Goblin Assist → Magneto mid → Carnage when you want infection pressure. Do not open with Carnage Point and Magneto Point swaps in the same session until one kit is automatic.

Fighting Avengers (Cap Point + Iron Man Assist) or Amazing Guardians (Ms. Marvel Point) are the smoothest on-ramps. Unbreakable X-Men works if you Point Wolverine before Storm or Danger.
